Built in 1907, is a Shingle style with limestone accents. Finney and his son, Ronald, were successful financiers and close associates of important political figures. In the 30s they were found to have forged nearly a half million dollars worth of municipal and school bonds. Both were convicted and sentenced to prison, but the elder Finney committed suicide before he began to serve time. He and William Allen White were close friends, and William Lindsay White fictionalized the scandal in his first book, What People Said.
