The Custer Hill Golf Course is one of the finest military golf courses in the Midwest. The course is a Robert Trent Jones design and consists of lovely bluegrass fairways and Pencross Bent greens. The course is playable from four different sets of tees ranging from 7,048 yards to 5,812 yards. The natural wooded and prairie grass areas of the course are an extension of the flint hills and the area terrain.
Golfers have a mild climate to enjoy their game in the natural setting, clean air and relaxing days of what would appear to be naturally made for golf.
The golf course offers a fully stocked Pro Shop, a newly remodeled snack bar, daily greens fee, riding golf carts, driving range and putting green. One can relax, practice or lounge at the club.
The golf course is a gathering place for both the soldier and family members. Special programs include a junior golf program in June after school, lessons by appointment and group lessons. The Custer Hill Golf Course PGA Professional/Manager is Kurt Osborn.
