Enjoy some of the country’s finest concerts, theatrical performances, and other fine arts performed at one of the most innovative theaters in the area. The celebrated performing arts center The Kansas City Star calls “the crown jewel of the Johnson County cultural scene,” hosts or presents over 250 events per year, featuring gallery exhibitions, comedy, musical theatre, ballet, opera, modern dance, symphonies, recitals, children’s theatre, and all types of music by internationally renowned artists.

Built in 1990, the center features 5 professional performing and visual art spaces: 1350 seat Yardley Hall; The Theatre with 400 seats; flexible seating for 100 in the Black Box; 60 seat Recital Hall; and the 3,400 sq. ft. Gallery of Art. Upper floors house Continuing Education classrooms and offices, conference rooms and the Center for Business and Technology.
